Oakland Minimalist
This home had Mid-century modern bones, but the kitchen was hidden in a dark walled-off area between the dining and sitting room. We removed two walls to open up the kitchen, creating a minimalist, congruous space that communicated well with all surrounding areas. Soft grays and natural alder created a modern but warm and inviting feel. Recycled beams were used for the bar detail on the kitchen island.
